The Beijing International Workshop (II) on Iron-Based Superconductors 2014

The BIIS 2014 was held on Aug 4-7,2014 by Beijing National Laboratory of Condensed Matter Physics / (Sponsors) National Lab for Superconductivity, Key Laboratory of Extreme Conditions Physics, Laboratory of Condensed Matter Theory and Materials Computation at Institute of Physics (IOP), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS).

The conference brought together experts in the field of Iron-Based Superconductors from all over the world to explore and deliberately discuss the development of physical properties and mechanism of iron-based superconducting materials, in particular the synthesis of iron-based superconducting materials, the preparation of single-crystal samples, Angle-Resolved Photoemission Spectroscopy (ARPES), Neutron Scattering, Nuclear Magnetic Resonance, Raman Scattering, Scanning Tunneling Microscope (STM), transport, etc. Nearly 100 overseas and local researchers and students attended the seminar and all agreed that it was a golden experience to learn.

Before this conference, "The Beijing International Workshop (I) on Iron (Nickel)-Based Superconductors" was held in Oct 2008 at IOP, CAS. At that time, the researchers of IOP have already achieved significant progress. In recent years, our researchers have made several breakthroughs in the field, and was conferred the First Class National Natural Science Award of China (2013) together with the research team from University of Science and Technology of China. It is believed that the present conference has further promoted the communication and development of the field.
