The 7th Cross-Strait and International Conference on Quantum Manipulation, June 28-30, 2013, Beijing

- Introduction
Quantum manipulation is one of four major programs in fundamental frontier research that are included in the “National Medium- and Long-Term Plan for Science and Technology Development (2006-2020)”, drawn up by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China. It is also one of the most significant areas of research on the international scene.
With this background, the 7th Cross-Strait and International Conference on Quantum Manipulation will be held from June 28- 30, 2013 in the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Beijing. In line with the tradition of the previous conferences in this series, scholars from China mainland, Taiwan, Hong-Kong, and overseas will discuss their most recent research, with the aim of finding new directions for future development in this area, and promoting international scientific exchange.
The conference topics will include:
- Cold atoms, Bose-Einstein condensation
- Fermionic condensates and their applications in condensed matter physics
- Quantum information and quantum computation
- Quantum correlation and quantum precision measurement
- Quantum control and its applications
